Preparation
Prepare the necessary tools and materials, and set up the vulcanization table with the heating plate beneath the vulcanization machine. Based on the belt specifications and strength, determine the step specifications and number for belt overlapping, as well as the required shape of the joint (diamond or rectangular), and mark the lines accordingly.
Belt Layering
Use layer knives and specialized tools such as layering hooks to separate the conveyor belt layers. Utilize a low-speed angle grinder fitted with a fiber grinding disc to grind the stepped area after layering, ensuring thorough cleaning afterward.
Application of Vulcanizing Agent
Using a short-haired brush, evenly apply the hot vulcanizing agent onto the joint surface, applying two coats. After the first coat, allow it to dry completely; after the second coat, let it dry until slightly tacky (test using the back of your hand).
Core Rubber Covering
Cover the fabric layer with core rubber, align it properly, and use a pressure roller to compact it layer by layer.
Joint Overlap
Accurately overlap the upper and lower joints of the conveyor belt, carefully rolling the entire joint area from the center outwards without any gaps, ensuring it is firmly pressed.
VulcanizationPosition the upper vulcanization plate and adjust its position accordingly. Follow operational instructions to adjust vulcanization pressure, time, and temperature optimally.
This procedure outlines the steps involved in preparing and joining conveyor belts using vulcanization techniques, ensuring a durable and reliable joint.
